“Dave is, right now, on top of the sport. He’s the best. He’s proven it multiple times,” said American Aaron Blunck. “He comes out in any condition and has amazing fun. He’s the dad out of the group. So, no matter what he does, we’re proud of him.”

The 23-year-old Wise took home the gold after scoring a 92, Canada’s Mike Riddle took home silver with 90.6, and Kevin Rolland of France won the bronze after putting up a score of 88.60.

Despite less than ideal weather Wise went out and dominated the field. Wise had to perform well despite dealing with soggy rain and snow all night.

Thanks to some help from Wise, the United States is now tied with the Netherlands for the most medals in the Sochi games with 20 medals after 12 days.
