Emmanuel Granados

(RIGBY, ID) – A Rigby man has pleaded guilty to second degree murder.  Twenty-three-year-old Emmanuel Granados admitted to killing 22-year-old Fermin Lemus of Rexburg during a birthday party last July. Granados was originally charged with first degree murder, but made a plea deal to get the charges reduced in an effort to avoid the death penalty and secure the possibility of parole. Authorities will continue with their investigation to determine if Granados’ criminal history should be considered when he’s sentenced in April.
