Jadeveon Clowney: ‘Want to be One of the Best’

AL Messerschmidt/Getty Images(INDIANAPOLIS) — Former South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney spoke on Saturday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
Clowney said he would have entered the NFL Draft last year following his sophmore season, but due to the NFL rules, he wasn’t able to.
“I probably would have,” Clowney said. “Because I came off a great season. If it was a chance, I probably would have.”
Clowney pointed towards defense being the key to winning Super Bowls and brought up the Seahawks dominating the Denver Broncos in this year’s Super Bowl.
“I believe that once I get to the NFL, it’s going to be the up on my career,” said Clowney, who believes in his defensive efforts. “I just want to be one of the best. I want to be one of the greatest of all-time and the NFL is just the next level, stepping stone in my way.”
