JK Rowling Releasing Second Novel Under Pseudonym
Published at(NEW YORK) — Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will release a second crime novel under her pseudonym, Robert Galbraith.
The Silkworm will continue the story of Cormoran Strike, a detective and war hero, according to the U.K.’s The Guardian. In the book, Strike will investigate the disappearance of a novelist. The Silkworm will be released June 24.
Strike was previously featured in The Cuckoo’s Calling, which Rowling released last year under the Galbraith pseudonym. The book’s sales greatly increased after a lawyer revealed the author’s true identity. Rowling subsequently filed suit; she settled the matter after the lawyer’s firm agreed to make a donation to charity.
Rowling has published the Harry Potter books, as well as the adult novel The Casual Vacancy, under her own name.
