The deal is worth $9,762,500, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Heading into arbitration, Masterson was asking for $11.8 million, while the Tribe offered $8.05 million.

The 28-year-old Masterson went 14-10 last season with a 3.45 ERA. He struck out 195 batters in 193 innings of work.

Cleveland acquired Masterson in a trade with the Red Sox on July 31, 2009, when they sent catcher Victor Martinez to Boston. The Indians also received minor league pitcher Bryan Price and left-handed reliever Nick Hagadone in the deal.
