No State Action Against Coach

(POCATELLO, ID) – The state Department of Education will not pursue any disciplinary action against a former Pocatello girl’s basketball coach. Laraine Cook was dismissed from her coaching job in October over a Facebook photo, which showed her boyfriend, football coach Tom Harrison, touching her her chest. District 25 Superintendent Mary Wagner then asked the state to take action against Cook as well. Authorities say there is no reason to take the case any further. Cook has been given the green light to begin teaching again, and will likely resume her coaching job next season.
