Tom Hanks Is Most Trustworthy Star in Hollywood, Says “Forbes”

ABC/Randy Holmes(NEW YORK) — You can trust Tom Hanks — that is, if you trust Forbes magazine.

The publication has named Hanks the must trustworthy celebrity in Hollywood, based on data collected by E-Poll Research. E-Poll ranked more than 6,600 stars based on 46 personality attributes measured through public opinion polling.

Hanks, whose film Captain Phillips is nominated in the Oscars’ best picture category, accumulated a “trustworthy” score of 25 percent and an “appeal” score of 81 percent. His combined score of 106 puts him higher than anyone else on the list.

Comedy legend Carol Burnett ranks second, with a “trustworthy” score of 24 percent and an “appeal” score of 80 percent, good for a combined score of 104.

Morgan Freeman, Michael J. Fox and Betty White round out the top five.
