(JACKSON, WY) – A local skier was hurt in an avalanche in Grand Teton National Park Sunday afternoon.  Forty-three-year-old Greg Epstein of Wilson, Wyoming was carried over a thousand feet down one of the Air Force chutes in Granite Canyon. Officials say Epstein and his friends were well-equipped with the appropriate safety gear, which included avalanche beacons and probes. Epstein was transported to St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson, where is being treated for serious injuries.
