California State Senator Arrested on Corruption Charges
Published at(SAN FRANCISCO) — California State Sen. Leland Yee was arrested Wednesday on public corruption charges in an investigation that also involves notorious former San Francisco gangster Raymond Chow.
Yee’s home and office were searched by FBI and IRS agents on Wednesday morning, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Yee, a Democratic candidate for California secretary of state who currently represents San Francisco and part of San Mateo County, was scheduled with Chow to appear before a U.S. magistrate judge on Wednesday afternoon.
