Jimmy Carter Sends His First Text Message
Published at(NEW YORK) — Days after Jimmy Carter said he was worried about sending emails because they might be monitored, the former president sent his first text message — and it was about Stephen Colbert.
Carter’s grandson, Jason, a candidate in Georgia’s Democratic gubernatorial primary, tweeted a picture of the first text exchange on Wednesday in which Jimmy Carter asked his grandson if he had seen him on the The Colbert Report on Tuesday night.
Carter then followed up with, “That was my first text msg.”
