Nowitzki scored seven points in overtime as he rebounded from his worst shooting performance of the season — during Sunday’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

“The last game was disappointing for me,” Nowitzki said. “I was just hesitating too much, so I had to go back to having fun out there and just being me.

Jose Calderon chipped in 22 points for the Mavericks (43-29), who had seven players score in double digits.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder (52-19), with 43 points, while Russell Westbrook added 23 in just under 32 minutes of action. Oklahoma City is currently chasing the San Antonio Spurs for the top record in the Western Conference.

“I’m proud of our guys’ effort and energy, coming back from back-to-back games,” coach Scott Brooks said. “I can’t complain about anything we did tonight.”
