Suicide Hotline to Expand Hours
Published at(BOISE, ID) – The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline is expanding its hours. Officials added shifts from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Organizers also have plans to train more volunteers, which will make the hotline available on weekends as well. Idaho has the sixth highest suicide rate in the nation, and it remains one of the leading causes of death for teenagers. Those interested in becoming a volunteer can call Nina Leary at 208-258-6992.
