The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 26 points to 16,302.77. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 43 points to 4,276.79. The S&P 500 gave up 5 points to end the session at 1866.52.

Biotech stocks pulled the markets down on Friday. Symantec plunged early after abruptly firing its CEO.

Tiffany & Company got a gift of better sales during the holiday season, but the luxury retailer couldn’t put a bow on its latest earnings.  They were dragged down by a hefty charge from an arbitration ruling.
