David Arquette and Girlfriend Welcome a Son

Imeh Akpanudosen/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — David Arquette and his girlfriend, Christina McLarty, welcomed a son on Monday.
The actor’s rep confirmed to ABC News that Charlie West was born at 12:35 p.m. on April 28 in Los Angeles. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
“Mom, dad and baby are doing well,” Arquette’s rep told People. “They appreciate all of your well wishes and thank you for respecting their privacy at this time.”
Arquette, 42, is also the father of 9-year-old Coco with his ex-wife Courteney Cox.
Arquette and McLarty, 33, have been dating on and off since 2011. Last November, the couple confirmed that they were expecting.
“I’ve done it once so there’s not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don’t know what to expect,” Arquette told People in January about having his second child on the way.
“You have to have a lot of faith that you will be able to keep them safe and not mess them up too much,” he added.
