Jackson Landslide Inching Toward Homes, Businesses

(JACKSON, WY) – A slumping hillside in Jackson is continuing to threaten several homes and businesses. Following a disaster declaration by the town council last week, officials determined that the mass of rock and soil is slowly creeping about two inches per day. About 60 people have been evacuated so far, and a Red Cross station has been set up at the Teton County Fairgrounds to provide relief for those affected.
