Jets Add CB Dimitri Patterson to Their Secondary
Published at(NEW YORK) — The New York Jets signed cornerback Dimitri Patterson on Tuesday.
ESPN.com reports it’s a one-year deal worth $3 million.
The 30-year-old Patterson played last season with Miami, recording 18 tackles, six passes defended, and four interceptions in six games.
The Dolphins cut Patterson last month to save $5.4 million against the salary cap.
Since Antonio Cromartie has been cut, the 5-foot-11 Patterson could get a chance to compete for a starting job.
In eight NFL seasons, Patterson has started 20 games, compiling 142 tackles, 36 passes defended, nine interceptions and two sacks.
