Marine Shoots, Kills Another Marine at Camp Lejeune

iStock/Thinkstock(CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.) — A Marine standing guard at Camp Lejeune’s main gate shot and killed another Marine at the North Carolina military facility on Tuesday.
The shooter, who was not immediately identified by military officials, was questioned Tuesday as investigators looked into the matter. The victim’s identity was also withheld, pending notification of the family.
“They’re trying to get to the bottom of it to determine whether it was indeed on purpose or an accident,” Nat Fahy, a spokesman for Camp Lejeune, told ABC News Radio.
Officials said the incident is not being considered an act of terrorism.
