In a statement to ABC News, Richman said he is sorry for his “inexcusable remarks.”

“I’ve long struggled with my body image and have worked very hard to achieve a healthy weight,” he said.

Richman’s rough comments started after he put his 70-pound weight loss on display for the latest issue of Cosmopolitan UK, then Instagrammed a picture of his new body with the hashtag “thinspiration.”

This hashtag didn’t go over so well with readers. The word can often be associated with anorexia and commentors took to social media to let the Man V. Food star know it.

He fired back with his own remarks — including one regrettable comment: “Grab a razor blade and draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you.”

He also commented on another user’s Instagram post with the term “DILLIGAF” — meaning “Does it look like I give a f***” — after she had made a comment.

For that comment and others that might have offended anyone, Richman added in his statement, “I’m incredibly sorry to everyone I’ve hurt.”

The Travel Channel did not respond to a request for comment.

Man Finds Food, which was supposed to air on Wednesday, has been postponed.
