(NEW YORK) — Jennifer Lawrence never attended the University of Louisville, but the Kentucky native lends her voice to a video touting the move by the school’s athletic teams to the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The 23-year-old actress opens the minute-long video on the team’s website, MeetTheCards.com, by proclaiming, “I grew up in the Derby City, home to a proud and storied university filled with rich athletic tradition and packed with fans who are as loyal and passionate as any in college sports.”
She adds adds, “This region and these people live and breathe the Cardinals.”
Lawrence then promises, “The battles on the court, the gridiron and the field are destined to reach epic championship proportions.”
J-Law concludes the message by declaring, “This is the future. This is the ACC. This is the Louisville Cardinals.” A picture of Lawrence flashing the “L” sign appears as she says, “Let’s do this.”
