Job Market Will Continue to Improve this Year, Survey Says
Published at(NEW YORK) — The U.S. economy may be stronger for the rest of the year — and jobs are one reason.
A new survey out Thursday suggests employers are planning to hire more workers. The employment firm asked more than 2,100 HR and hiring managers about their plans.
“What we’re seeing in our survey is that employers expect to add more jobs in the back half of the year,” says Jennifer Grasz of CareerBuilder.
“Nearly half of employers — 47 percent — plan to hire full-time permanent employees over the next six months,” Grasz adds.
And, as she notes, that’s more than a year ago. “The results of this year’s survey were indicative of a more confident employer population compared to 2013,” she says.
