By 61 to 32 percent, voters say the 2003 war in Iraq was the “wrong thing to do.” Conversely, 58 to 37 percent of voters say President Obama’s decision to pull all U.S. troops in 2011 was the “right thing to do.”

Most voters — 63 to 29 percent — with opposition from all party, gender and age groups, are against sending American troops back into Iraq. By 56 to 39 percent, the majority also think it is not in our national interest to get involved in Iraq.

However, 72 percent of voters say it is “very likely” or “somewhat likely” that Islamic militants would “launch a terrorist attack against the U.S. in the near future” if they take over Iraq.
