Fashion designer Jeanine Heller, a former friend of Manning’s, was in Manhattan Criminal Court Wednesday, accused of making “anonymous contact through Twitter with Manning,” who plays the character Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett on the hit Netflix series.

The alleged contact was apparently a violation of a previous order imposed by the court in July after Heller, 32, was charged with fourth-degree stalking. She was banned from any form of communication with Manning, including through social media. Heller pleaded not guilty to the charge.

In court documents, Manning, 35, accused Heller of stalking and bullying her. She claims Heller sent her “numerous text messages, emails, voicemails and messages through other social media” between April and July.

Manning’s attorney, Andrew Quinn, told ABC News that Heller “continues to publish additional false and defamatory allegations regarding Ms. Manning.”

Heller claims she is the one being harassed and has taken to Twitter to post her side of the story, including a July 26 tweet in which she referred to “bullying.”

Following Wednesday’s court hearing, Heller published a series of tweets reacting to the judge’s warning that she not have contact with Manning, through herself or anyone else.

The case was adjourned to Oct. 6.
