HELENA, MT —  The last time the Idaho Falls Chukars set foot on Kindrick Legion Field in Helena they were hoisting the 2013 Pioneer League championship trophy.  Their first time back also resulted with a win as the Chukars defeated the Brewers 3-1 on Tuesday.
Sugar Ray Marimon got the start for Idaho Falls (28-25, 8-7).  The right-hander went 4.1 innings allowing only one run, on a home run by Sthervin Matos.  Austin Fairchild (1-1) didn’t allow a hit in his 2.2 innings of work before handing it over to Cruz Guevara who picked up his second save of the season.

The Chukars offense took advantage of Helena (19-35, 6-10) mistakes in the field.  All three Idaho Falls’ runs were unearned.  The Greybirds were also having issues in the field, committing four errors of their own.

The Chukars continue their seven game road trip by playing game two of the three game series against the Helena Brewers Wednesday.
