Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Mom and Cousin Survive Head-On Collision

Jason Merritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s mother and cousin survived a serious head-on collision with a drunk driver, according to the actor.
On Sunday, Johnson posted a photo on Instagram of the car crash. “My mom & cousin…were struck head on by a drunk driver this week – they lived,” Johnson wrote in the post, referring to his mother, Ata, and his cousin, WWE NXT Diva Lina Fanene.
Johnson continued, “First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them.”
The photo shows two wrecked cars and an emergency worker standing nearby. According to TMZ, the wrecked Cadillac Escalade in the photo was a gift from the actor to his mom.
It’s not known when the car accident occurred. On Aug. 8, Fanene posted a photo of Johnson visiting her in the hospital.
