Former Hospital Employee Enters Alford Plea

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A former IT Director for Bingham Memorial Hospital has entered an Alford plea in a felony wiretapping case.
Jack York faces a prison sentence of up to five years and a $5,000 fine. Local News 8 reports that two other felony charges against York were dropped as part of the plea agreement.
York allegedly bugged phones in a doctor’s office in 2009 and 2010. He maintains that he didn’t know his actions were against the law.
York’s attorney says her client was threatened with termination if he didn’t tap the phones of his co-workers.
