With L.A. leading 1-0 in the second inning, Dodgers catcher Drew Butera took the first pitch he saw from Braves starter Aaron Harang (9-7) and sent it over the left-field wall for a two-run home run. Harang allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks over 4 1-3 innings of work.

Robert Hernandez (7-8) kept the Braves in check across six innings, giving up just one earned run on three hits and four walks. Kenley Jansen picked up his 34th save of the season.

Braves outfielder Justin Upton left the game in the eighth with a mild left hamstring strain. The team says his status is day-to-day.
