The Nationals have now won 10 straight.

Denard Span scored the winning run when Anthony Rendon hit a ground ball to third baseman Jordan Pacheco. Pacheco proceeded to throw the ball past the first baseman and into the camera well. That allowed Span, who started the play on second base, to be rewarded home.
Nationals starter Gio Gonzalez pitched seven innings of scoreless ball allowing four hits and three walks while striking out six, and Rafael Soriano (4-1) pitched a perfect ninth for the win.

Washington (73-53) become the first team since the 1986 Astros to win five games via the walk-off in a six-game span.
