Brad Compher

(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello murder suspect pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in district court Thursday. Brad Scott Compher is accused of the stabbing death of Nori Jones in September 2004.

Compher, who remains held in the Bannock County Jail without bond, told Judge Robert Naftz that he was concerned about losing his job.

A public defender has been appointed to represent Compher. A pre-trial hearing was tentatively scheduled for Sept. 24. Prosecutors say they’ll consider pursuing the death penalty.
