Report: Teresa and Joe Giudice’s Marriage Is on the Rocks

Heidi Gutman/Bravo(NEW YORK) — The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe have both been sentenced to months in federal prison for tax fraud. So it may come as no surprise that Us Weekly reports their marriage is on the rocks.
“Teresa and Joe’s emotional connection is fading,” a family friend told the magazine. “Resentment is creeping in. There is an icy distance.”
Teresa is set to report to a facility in Danbury, Connecticut — a prison that inspired Orange is the New Black — on January 5 to serve 15 months. Afterward, her husband will begin his three and a half years in jail. The judge staggered their sentences because the couple have four daughters.
The Us Weekly source says Teresa “expects him to step up and learn the girls’ schedules. But he hasn’t shown interest.”
“Joe says Teresa is nagging,” the source continued.
Still, the source said a divorce is not likely. “Splitting up would cause the kids turmoil. She wouldn’t bring them more harm,” the source explained.
Along with their legal problems, it doesn’t help that Joe recently revealed that he struggles with drinking. In an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Joe admitted he had a problem with drinking wine. “I could easily do two, three bottles, four bottles easily” a night, he told host Andy Cohen. “It does help me sleep. It’s either that or I have to take a pill and I don’t want to take a pill.”
