Apple Smartwatch Sales Expected to Soar

Apple(NEW YORK) — The watch is making a comeback but it’s not your father’s timepiece.
The global financial services company UBS says that in a poll of 4,000 consumers, 10 percent will purchase an Apple Watch over the next year.
Breaking it down by the numbers, UBS predicts 24 million Apple Watches will be sold over the first nine months of 2015 with the company earning billions of dollars in profit.
UBS analyst Steven Milunovich admits that the first generation of the Apple smartwatch has certain limitations, including that it can’t function without a connection to the iPhone.
However, he says that this won’t discourage buyers and during fiscal 2016, Milunovich says that sales of the Apple Watch should jump by another 40 million units.
