Remington Arms Recalls Millions of Guns

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Firearms manufacturer Remington Arms is recalling millions of guns.
Settling two class-action lawsuits, Remington says it will replace X-Mark Pro triggers on its popular Model-700 and Model-Seven bolt-action hunting rifles built since 2006.
Owners can ship them back or take them to authorized repair centers for the retrofit.
Over the past three decades, dozens of lawsuits have been filed, several by people claiming injury and death from rifles that mis-fired. In the settlement, Remington acknowledges no defect, but claims it has re-worked its assembly process to prevent similar problems in the future.
