US Forces Conduct 10 Airstrikes in Syria, Iraq

Romanista/iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — U.S. forces, in tandem with partner forces, continued to conduct airstrikes in Iraq and Syria on Tuesday, striking seven targets in Syria and three in Iraq.
U.S. Central Command said six of the bulk of the Syria strikes, centered near Kobani, destroyed seven fighting positions and a building occupied by members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and struck several more fighting positions. The seventh strike, near Barghooth, struck an oil collection unit.
The Iraqi strikes, CENTCOM said, destroyed an ISIS vehicle and a fighting position and struck a mortar and an ISIS tactical unit.
Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates were also involved in the airstrikes.
