BoxingGloves? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1421225016534Digital Vision/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — The dream title fight between the two most popular and successful welterweight fighters may finally become a reality.

According to Yahoo Sports, promoter Bob Arum told the site that Manny Pacquiao has “agreed to the terms” for a May 2 fight with Floyd Mayweather.

ESPN’s Dan Rafael reports that Arum has been working with Les Moonves, CEO of CBS — with whom Mayweather has a contract to fight — to negotiate the terms of the bout. However, Mayweather has not yet agreed to the terms.

Mayweather is scheduled to make at least $30 million for each of the two remaining fights left on his contract with CBS. However, Rafael noted if Mayweather did fight Pacquiao, “he would make way, way more than that.”

The matchup has been discussed since late 2009 and almost was agreed upon, until Pacquiao disagreed with the drug testing terms that Mayweather requested at the time.

If the fight is indeed on, it will be held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
