NBC 120114 BillCosby? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1420806668818Nathaniel Chadwick/NBC(LONDON, Ontario) — At a stand-up comedy performance in Ontario, Canada, on Thursday night, Bill Cosby reportedly cracked a joke that can be construed as a reference to the many sexual assault allegations that have been made against him.

According to a CTV News account of the performance at London’s Budweiser Gardens, Cosby made the joke after a woman in the front row stood up and walked past the stage. He asked her where she was going, and she replied that she was headed to the lobby to get a drink. The comedian said, “You have to be careful about drinking around me.”

Cosby, who has been accused of drugging and assaulting several women, reportedly drew laughs with the remark.

Minutes later, according to CTV News, a man shouted at Cosby and called him a rapist. The man was booed, but Cosby told the audience to stop, adding, “No clapping right now. That’s all right. Patience.” The man was escorted from the venue.

Video of the heckling incident has been posted on YouTube.

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside Budweiser Gardens on Thursday night to protest Cosby, who has never faced charges in connection with any of the allegations.

Cosby, 77, will continue a three-show run in Ontario on Friday. They mark his first performances since November.
