According to the White House, Biden will deliver remarks on the administration’s economic policies at Drake University on Feb. 12. He will then participate in a roundtable discussion at DMACC focusing on the importance of helping more Americans go to college. Biden is also expected to touch on “the critical role that partnerships between community colleges and employers can play in helping Americans obtain the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.”

Biden’s trip to Iowa, the site of the first-in-the-nation caucus, comes after Republicans flocked to the state for the Iowa Freedom Summit last week as a preamble to potential 2016 campaigns.

It is not clear whether Biden would consider a run in 2016. In late January he said he had not yet decided, and if he were to run, “it won’t be [based on] who’s in the field…it will be whether or not I honestly believe that I have a chance to be able to really move this country in the right direction that is different than those who are running and that I can get that done.”
