Photo by Bill Pugliano/Getty Images(LANSING, Mich.) — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder was hospitalized on Thursday as he received treatment for an apparent blood clot in his leg.
According to a post to the governor’s Facebook page, the clot is a lingering effect of an injury he suffered to his Achilles tendon. Otherwise, the statement said, Snyder is in good health and under a doctor’s care.
Snyder is expected to have limited mobility, but “is still very much hard at work reinventing Michigan,” read the post.
According to ABC affiliate WXYZ in Detroit, Snyder had surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon about a month ago.
