According to a release from U.S. Central Command, Iraqi Security Forces and Tribal Fighters retook both the Al Baghdadi police station and three bridges along the Euphrates River. Centcom says that the same forces also pushed ISIS from seven villages north of Al Baghdadi on the road to Hadithah.
In the last two weeks, the U.S.-led coalition launched 26 airstrikes to aid the Iraqi Security Forces in their maneuvers.
Al Baghdadi is located just about five miles from Al Asad airbase, where nearly 400 U.S. trainers are working with the Iraqi military.
