(NEW YORK) — Kelly Osbourne found herself in hot water when she joined The View panelists Tuesday as a guest co-host.

It all started during the ABC daytime talk show’s “Hot Topics” segment when moderator Whoopi Goldberg told the audience that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was still leading in the election polls. “Yeah, well, what are you gonna do?” the comedian added.

Trump has been leading in the polls despite his comments regarding Mexican immigrants.

After several comments from co-hosts Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins, Osbourne chimed in: “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”

With the audience dead silent, co-host Rosie Perez attempted to interrupt Osbourne, who continued, “In the sense that…you know what I mean?”

“Latinos are not only the only people doing that,” Perez replied.

“No, I didn’t mean it like that! Come on! I would never mean it like that! I’m not part of this argument,” Osbourne concluded before Collins jumped in to clarify.

“I think what you’re saying is that Trump himself probably relies on a lot of these people that he’s insulting,” Collins offered.

After the show aired, Perez tweeted: “My apologies @KellyOsbourne, I took your point wrong-#Trump #Latinos. My bad. You’re heart is so pure & righteous. I adore you. @TheView.”

And Kelly herself took to Facebook to apologize and explain herself. “In this particularly case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apoligize for being a racist as I am NOT,” Kelly wrote. “I whole-hearted f***** up today.  I don’t want to bull**** anyone with lame excuses.”

“It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole,” Kelly continued. “By the way I clean my own f****** toilets.”

Still, many viewers questioned why Perez was apologizing and blasted Osbourne for her comments.
