Welfare check leads to drug arrest
Published at | Updated atPOCATELLO — A Pocatello woman was arrested Tuesday after police said they found her in a car with heroin.
The family of Cassandra Castro, 27, called in a welfare check for her. Police found her around 3 a.m. in her car by her home near Ethel and West Quinn.
Police said Castro was under the influence of heroin and had some for personal use. She was arrested on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Castro was booked into the Bannock County Jail, where she remained on a $7,500 bond Thursday.
