HOWE — Idaho State Police are currently investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on State Highway 22 at milepost 27, east of Howe.

The accident occurred at 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7. State Police Sgt. Chris Elverud said the driver, who has yet to be identified, over-corrected when he crashed into the right shoulder of the highway and the vehicle rolled.

There were four adults and two minors in the vehicle. One passenger, female, was declared deceased, Elverud said.

The deceased passenger was from Peru, and police are trying to contact her next of kin, state troopers reported.

Authorities are not sure of the relationship of the passengers to one another or where they were going.

The other five passengers are currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
