British Airways flight 2276 was bound for London’s Gatwick Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. It was not immediately clear why takeoff was aborted.

Passengers were removed from the plane using emergency slides.

According to a Twitter account for the airport, 159 passengers and 13 crew were on board the plane. Seven were treated for minor injuries.

“Safety is always our priority,” British Airways said in a statement. “We are looking after customers after a technical issue with the aircraft.”
