REXBURG — A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged with felony sexual exploitation of a child after police say he had nude photos of a teenage girl in his possession.

Michael Weathers of Idaho Falls worked at The Vaping Outlet at 55 W. Main St in Rexburg. Detectives say between Aug. 1 and Aug. 4, he received the naked pictures in exchange for vaping items, according to Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis.

The teen’s boyfriend, Triston Smith-Eisermann, 18, is also facing a felony charge of sexual exploitation of a child after police say he provided the photos to the vape shop.

Weathers has an extensive criminal history, according to the Idaho Repository. He’s been found guilty of burglary, grand theft and numerous traffic safety violations.

Weathers is currently in the Madison County Jail on $100,000 bond.
