District 91 schools win awards at Lego League competition
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — Longfellow Elementary School’s “Mythological Creatures” team won the Robot Design Award and the Robot Performance Award during the regional Lego League Tournament at University Place on Saturday, Dec. 12. Another Longfellow team called “Brick Builders” won the Project Award and Principal Kris Smith won the “Judge’s Award” for outstanding coaching.
The two Longfellow teams are heading to the state competition in Twin Falls in January.
The team from A.H. Bush Elementary School earned the second most points in the robotics field and qualified to be an alternate for the state tournament.
