IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police arrested two teenage boys for robbery following a short pursuit
early Monday morning.

The 15‐year‐old boy and the 13‐year‐old boy were booked into the 3B Detention Center.

Officers responded to the Stinker Station, 1485 W. Broadway, for a report of an armed robbery around 1:16 a.m. The clerk reported a male, wearing a mask and carrying a baseball bat, came into the store and demanded money and cigarettes.

As police were searching for the suspect, they located a suspicious male hiding behind a dumpster
near the Stinker Station at 498 E. First St. Officers chased the male on foot before the male jumped
into a white van and fled westbound.

Officers pursued the vehicle on South Higbee and observed the white van run multiple stop signs.

The vehicle turned the wrong way on 12th St. before turning right onto Holmes Avenue.

Officers performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle near 17th and Holmes stopping the vehicle.

The boys were found in possession of the cigarettes and cash taken from the West Broadway
convenience store robbery.

The 15‐year‐old boy, who was driving the van, was also arrested for felony eluding. The 13‐year‐old
boy, who initially ran from police, was also arrested for resisting arrest.
