IDAHO FALLS — You’ve likely heard the loud noises in the air today and many of you have contacted EastIdahoNews.com asking what’s going on.

We did some checking and learned four F-16 Fighting Falcon jets landed at Idaho Falls Regional Airport around 11:40 a.m. to re-fuel.

“The jets came from Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado,” airport director Craig Davis tells EastIdahoNews.com. “They left the Idaho Falls area shortly after 1:00 p.m. for an undisclosed training”

Idaho Falls Regional Airport is required by federal law to accept and provide refueling to military aircrafts as the airport receives federal funding.

Davis says no commercial flights were interrupted.
