Utah police use social media to burn wanted gangsta who tried to taunt them

OREM, Utah– (KUTV) Nowadays you don’t have to be on the streets for police to catch you, especially if you are hanging out on social media and posting publicly for anyone to see.

On Wednesday, the Orem Police Department proved it is just as active on social media as it is on the streets.

As police were looking for a man with a warrant, the man helped officers find him quickly by posting a taunting message on his public Facebook page.

According to the department, the man posted a photo of himself flashing a gang sign in front of an Orem Police patrol vehicle at a 7-11 with this caption: “What are this marranos doing in my hood they know We keep it Active eFe up.”

The police department responded by posting the guy’s mug after he was arrested and left this cautionary tale on its Facebook wall:
