Trailer released for ‘Saturday’s Warrior’ remake

SALT LAKE CITY — A remake of the classic Mormon motion picture “Saturday’s Warrior” is about to hit theaters and film creators have released two trailers of the new film.
The movie will be released in Utah theaters April 1, according to the “Saturday’s Warrior” Facebook page. Other cities will be determined by the number of requests received per zip code. Those who wish to have the film released in their area can text “WARRIOR” to 44222.
“Saturday’s Warrior” originally debuted as a stage production in 1974. A movie version of the musical came out in 1989. The 2016 motion picture will still be set in the 1970s.
Popular artists who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Alex Boye and The Piano Guys, will be featured in the film.
