The following is a news release from Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
IDAHO FALLS -– Free lunch, games, and music! Oh my! Join us for the ERIMC Family Fun Day and Bike for Kids event this Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m at Snake River Landing. Enjoy a day full of superhero themed fun. The event is free but participants are asked to bring one can of food per person.
Once again, the main attraction for kiddos at EIRMC’s Family Fun Day is the Teddy Bear ER Clinic! Children can follow their bear through its hospital stay. From the ER, to the lab, then through radiology and surgery. The clinic aims to help children ease their anxieties and gain a better understanding of the hospital process. Teddy bears will be provided to the children (while supplies last).
After attendees can grab free lunch and enjoy lots of family friendly games, including bouncy houses, sports clinics, carnival games, and much more! For the grown-ups, we’ll have several educational booths from local health resources. In addition, we’ll also have caregivers from the NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Therapies, so past patients and families can reunite with them.
This year, EIRMC has again partnered with Children with Disabilities Foundation to co-host the EIRMC Family Fun Day and Bike for Kids Idaho. Bike for Kids is an organization provides adaptable bicycles for special needs children in our community.
Bike for Kids Idaho is a family-friendly event held in partnership with EIRMC’s Family Fun Day, with several bicycle events to participate in.* At 10:30 am (registration starts at 9:00 am) there will be a 4 Mile Family Bike Ride. The bike ride ends at the EIRMC Family Fun Day. At 12:30, there will be a presentation by Bike for Kids and a give-a-way of multiple adaptable bikes to pre-identified children. Lastly, at 1:00, Bike for kids will host smaller bike races for younger kiddos! Visit www.bikeforkidsidaho.com for race details and pricing info.
