IDAHO FALLS — A 23-year-old Idaho Falls woman was arrested for felony grand theft for allegedly stealing and using a debit card.

Idaho Falls Police booked Afton Purser into the Bonneville County Jail on Saturday.

Police reports show an Idaho Falls resident reported his wife’s debit card had been stolen from Winco on July 13 after she forgot her purse in the store. The woman retrieved her purse from Purser, a store employee, shortly after discovering she’d forgotten it.

The woman and her husband realized later her debit card had been stolen from the purse and used to make online purchases at Yandy, an online lingerie store and at Victoria’s Secret.

Reports show Purser was observed on the store’s surveillance footage taking the debit card.

Purser will be arraigned in Bonneville County today. Her bond is set at $15,000.
