Idaho Falls home a total loss after fire

IDAHO FALLS — Firefighters are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home last night.
The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to the home around 9 p.m. on 2400 block of Hitt Road for a report of a structure fire. The home was fully engulfed when they arrived and the fire was threatening a building directly to the north.
Officials say no one was living in the home. The estimated damage was reported at $20,000.
